Finally made it over to Cannes yesterday for the last day of the festival... and as our tour guide felt bad for not taking my roommate and me the previous week, we were even able to go for free! Cannes is a quaint port city filled with waterfront restaurants, shops, etc. We arrived in the afternoon and had a few hours to explore before the red carpet event of the last film premier of the festival. We hung out at the beach for a bit, and discovered the city... at 18h30 everybody started arriving for the premier, and were announced as they walked down the red carpet. I had not heard of anybody they named, but apparently there were famous people there. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to go, I'd love to go back next year or the year after and actually attend the premier... we'll see!
