Voici, quelques photos de mon petit voyage à Lacoste, Bonnieux, et Lourmarin!
I went on a day excursion with Morgan, my Canadian friend, to some of my favorite villages in southern France. We stopped to explore caves on the way (although we need to come back at a later time with a lantern or some stronger form of light for better visibility). First, we stopped in Lourmarin and walked around the château and the olive orchards. Before leaving the city we visited the cemetary which was filled with some unique grave marks. Our next stop was in a town called Bonnieux. It is situated atop a hill that has a great view of Le Luberon region, and you have a clear view of Lacoste as well, which is atop an adjacent hill. We walked up to the cathedral at the very top of the village, then down to the lower part of the city, where all the art shops, etc. are located. Our last stop was in Lacoste, where Marquis de Sade exhiled himself. We hiked up to his château and lurked a guy who was playing his guitar overlooking the countryside. It was a great day.
On a side note -
I'm going to Paris this Sunday with Morgan and the Jaspards, so I am looking forward to that. It will be nice to get out of Aix for a few days and profit most from my 2 weeks vacation from school!
